As a researcher, my work explores the intersections of creativity, technology, and music, with a particular focus on how AI is reshaping artistic practice and education. I combine practice-based inquiry with critical analysis to investigate creativity as a skill that can be nurtured, unlearned, and reimagined. My research aims to bridge the gap between theory and practice, empowering artists, students, and industry professionals to adapt, innovate, and sustain creative agency in a rapidly changing cultural landscape.
My YouTube channel is dedicated to making music. I want to help you by sharing music making ideas. I also invite interesting practitioners to discuss their and the role of creativity in their practice and how to overcome the many creative challenges we face.
I am the program director for the MA Music Management course at City University of London.
I make music under my middle name Clyma. It is Cornish and represents the inspiration I draw from the ancient English mystic land. My great-grandfather was the famous nature poet John Clare. I like to mix the ancient with the very new.
